Family-centred care
Healthcare from newborns through adolescence
At Medpoint Medical Services, we provide compassionate and accessible healthcare for children from birth through adolescence. Whether your child has a new illness, needs a routine health assessment, or requires ongoing care, our family practice team is here to support your child and your family.
Comprehensive Care for Your Child
Our physicians provide assessment, treatment, preventative care and ongoing follow-up for a wide range of childhood health needs.
- Newborn and infant checks
- Developmental assessments
- Feeding and sleeping concerns
- Vaccinations and immunization reviews
- Routine health assessments
- Coughs, colds and fevers
- Rashes and skin conditions
- Vomiting, reflux and abdominal concerns
- Allergies and food intolerances
- General infections and common childhood illnesses
When appropriate, our physicians can also arrange referrals, diagnostic testing, imaging or specialist assessment.
What to Bring to Your Child’s Appointment
Parents and guardians should bring their child’s health card, relevant medical history or hospital reports, immunization record, current medications and dosages, referral letters if applicable, and a list of any questions or concerns. For babies and younger children, please also bring any available personal child-health or growth records.
Family Care at Medpoint
Because Medpoint is a family clinic, our goal is to provide continuity of care for the whole family. Children can receive care alongside parents and other family members, with access to our broader family practice, preventative care, nursing and women’s health services as these programs become available.
When to Seek Emergency Care
Medpoint provides primary care and is not an emergency department. If your child is seriously ill, has difficulty breathing, is experiencing a severe allergic reaction, has a serious injury, or you believe there is a medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department immediately.
